Couples Photoshoot at Farm Shop, Glasgow
Farm Shop is an amazing 2-day workshop for wedding photographers that came to Glasgow just last month, in March. I was thrilled to be able to do a couples photoshoot under the direction of the very talented and lovely Sara K Byrne from Portland, Oregon.
I LOVE a couples photoshoot, love love love. Some of you might be thinking, “but why would I get photos taken if it’s not an engagement shoot or our wedding day?”.
Well, look below, see that love right there? That’s why! To capture that. It’s a rare thing and you should feel bloody lucky if you have it. Record it, look back on it when times are tough, you’re feeling lonely or your partner is the other side of the world. You’ll have photos like the ones below to bring back the feels and keep your heart warm. Or warm your cockles, if you like.
Come on Sarah, does anyone actually have a couples photoshoot?
My husband and I had a couples photoshoot just last month! It’s coming up to our 5 year wedding anniversary and we want to continue to document our relationship and how we’ve both changed. But the smiles and the laughs seemed to have remained the same! Honestly, I’m smiling just as I type this because the shoot was so fun. Aw, I feel like I’m awash with romance all of a sudden!
I hope that we will continue to document our relationship as we grow old, I actually can’t wait to see what our portraits might look like when we’re in our seventies.
Wouldn’t you love to see beautiful, professional portraits of your parents throughout their relationship, who wouldn’t? The fashions, the hair, the cars – everyone loves an old photo. I love old photos when I don’t even know anyone in them, imagine how special they would be to you if it was you, your parent or grandparent in them.

You may recognise our model cuties below as it’s the famous Joe & Steph of The Bygone Photobooth! We had a wee Shop Local interview with them a little while back, which you can catch up on here if you haven’t already read about their path to photobooth fame.
Many thanks to Joe & Steph, I’m sure you’ll agree they are the freaking cutest! Even Jo, another local photographer who was also on the shoot, couldn’t get over their adorable-ness!
