Dalduff Farm wedding

When you have a “confetti man”, a super cute couple and a farm wedding venue with some pretty mega photo opportunities… well, safe to say I was one happy photographer that day!

Wedding photography at Dalduff Farm

Tucked away in the Ayrshire countryside, Dalduff Farm is still a working farm to an extent. It’s home to one of Scotland’s oldest continually operating farm shops having been open for over four decades now. So, with that kind of background, you know their wedding food is going to be chef’s kiss. And, dear reader, it really was. Good wedding grub is essential, Dalduff Farm definitely delivered.

The farm has fab rustic vibes and, as a blank canvas venue, Joanne and Jordan could put their own stamp on the place. The styling was amazing, these two are all about the colour which is right up my street. Joanne’s flowers were mega and I loved their ‘wedding advice’ cards. Asking your guests for relationship advice could go either way, let’s be honest. But these lot were a whole load of fun so I bet there was some cracking guidance. I do admit I peeked at a few cards and they made me chuckle!

There is so much space at Dalduff Farm, with loads of on site accommodation and plenty of options for morning preparations ahead of the ceremony.

Over in the Log Cabin, which is an optional extra to hire out, Jordan was hanging out with his friends. When they were all ready we got a few photos of the gang before turning our attention to the ‘Confetti Man’. Jordan’s younger brother really made the role his own and did a sterling job. He was such a good laugh.

The Farmhouse is huge, and sleeps up to ten people. Joanne got ready there, along with her sister and her pals. We all had a right laugh that morning, especially when it came to fixing her veil. She looked absolutely incredible, although the nerves set in before the ceremony. But Joanne set her eyes on Jordan, made the walk down the aisle and they both dissolved into giggles together. Which pretty much continued throughout the ceremony and the rest of the day. Love it when a couple can properly laugh together!

Dalduff Farm, exclusive Scottish wedding venue

Their wedding ceremony was in one of the Dutch Barns, an amazing red walled structure with three walls and a roof. Basically the ideal Scottish ceremony spot – enough shelter from the weather but open so you get all the benefits of being outside. Best of both worlds! Plus, those striking red sides make for the perfect photo backdrop.

What’s better than a Dutch Barn? Two Dutch Barns of course! Jordan and Joanne held their ceremony in one before making a quick dash across the way to the second barn for drinks.

As if that’s not enough, the wedding meal (or wedding feast as Dalduff quite rightly call it) and evening party takes place in the restored 19th century barn.

Speaking of the party, this gang were up for it. A saxophonist played Joanne and Jordan into the wedding feast and the room went WILD. That was the moment I knew it was going to be a mega evening. Shout out again to the Confetti Man for hitting the dancefloor and throwing even more confetti, he took that responsibility seriously (and made for some epic action shots)!

Before Joanne and Jordan’s day, I’d been to Dalduff Farm once before and boldly declared it to be one of the best wedding venues in Scotland. Now I’ve been back, does that title still stand? Heck YES! It’s ace. Book your wedding there and then book me to come and take pictures. I’ll love you forever.
