Preparations
Christina is so freaking talented, she basically made everything you see in the images. All the table decor, the arranging of the faux flowers (Which I 100% thought were real!), the origami favours and her bouquet – she’s one heck of a lady. I LOVE a bride in a two-piece dress, it’s so gorgeous. And the purple hair matching the purple tie – genius. Pearl jewellery and pearl nails complementing all the Vivienne Westwood, yass, my fave! I love everything about these two’s alternative style. You might recognise them from their couples shoot we had previously done.
The Ceremony
They wanted a micro wedding so small and intimate they didn’t even want the ceremony photographed! Not often you hear a photographer say that. They were married in the private dining area of Hotel Du Vin, St Andrews with their nearest and dearest as witnesses. But we can’t have a wedding with zero photographs, oh no, that won’t do! I’m here for the family shots and the couple shots of just the two of you. And I was so pleased that they had me along!
The Photos
Hotel Du Vin, St Andrews has a lovely private back bar area that we had the use of for family photos so that no one had to go too far. I then took our newlyweds out for a wee wander around St Andrews. So if you’re wondering what a photographer can do with about 45 minutes coverage – here’s your answer!
