Sarah & Nicol’s Wedding Reception Took Place in a Galaxy Far Far Away… Maryhill Burgh Halls 😉
“The photos are amazing, thanks so much. They are exactly what we were after, they make it look so much fun. You really captured the night perfectly. They are so lovely to look back on as it really does go so fast! We will enjoy them for years to come.”
– Sarah & Nic
Sarah & Nic had been married in a small ceremony at WEST Brewery a few days prior. Captured by the lovely Jo + Liam. They, unfortunately, couldn’t cover the reception too so they tagged me in for it (thanks pals!).
Having a Maryhill Burgh Halls wedding reception is ideal as it’s the perfect venue for an evening party as it’s basically a big dance hall!
They were able to repurpose their gorgeous Floral Menagerie wedding flowers as well to decorate the hall, bonus!
The Reception
A glitter bar, a lightsabre cake cutting and a choir – oh my! I was feeling rather hashtag blessed to be involved in this soiree. Sarah & Nic greeted their guests together and when everyone had arrived, scooped up a welcome drink and glittered up they were piped in by Sarah’s cousin to cut their cake and have a few speeches.
Not just any cake cutting though – a light sabre cutting (& Nic with a knife let’s be honest), I don’t think anyone knew though as there was some great reactions to it! Also love a bride giving a speech, yass kween.
We were then thoroughly treated to songs by Sarah’s choir, which were absolutely JOYFUL. The room was full of happy faces and people singing along. Loved this so much.
And then Nic’s brother (& friends) were their awesome band! Everyone danced into the evening ceilidh-ing their hearts out.
Enjoy this Maryhill Burgh Halls wedding partaaaaay!
