Katrina & Craig’s Couples Photoshoot Glasgow City Centre
“Thanks again for an amazing shoot. We’ve had such great responses to them! We had a great time and think that’s reflected in the pictures. We can’t wait for the big day now! “
– Craig & Katrina
Check out Craig and Katrina, how flipping cool are they?! And how amazing does Glasgow look? A fitting backdrop to such a stylish couple methinks.
Glasgow City Centre Photoshoot
So, let’s get this out there right now. You do not need green and typically pretty for your couple’s photoshoot. No, no. We can go wherever you like. Of course, I am partial to some mountains, trees and colourful florals. Not going to lie. But I also love me a gritty urban shoot too. Especially a gritty urban photoshoot in Glasgow city centre.
A little known fact about Glasgow is that it has the most amazing light. It’s just incredible. That probably won’t mean much to you unless you’re also a photographer but trust me, it’s pretty darn ace. There are also a lot of little nooks and crannies for us to get lost in (and take some cool photos). I love it when I stumble around a corner and find somewhere that just cries out for me to pop a couple there and get creative.
Gritty, Urban Engagement Shoot
I’m photographing Craig and Katrina’s wedding next year and I can’t wait. When they asked if they could have their engagement shoot in Glasgow city centre I jumped at the chance. Then Katrina told me she loves Glasgow street art and wanted to use some of the pieces in their photos and I was over the moon. Yes!
We spent a very happy few hours wandering around the centre, finding some epic street art and then laughing our heads off as Craig and Katrina ‘posed’ in front of it. I use ‘posed’ in the loosest sense of the term, of course, I am not into all that stiff, Next Top Model stuff. I’m all about you two getting close, having a right giggle together and me making some magic with my camera. That was right up Craig and Katrina’s street, we were a match made in heaven.

Another positive of a city centre photoshoot is that you can turn it into a date night. You’re all dressed up, you’re feeling a bit loved up and close, why not head out for some fab grub and some cocktails? What a bonus! Craig and Katrina were heading out afterwards to a wedding. These two have spent the summer basically being professional wedding guests, I think they’ve been to five already. They’re going to be total pros by the time their own day rolls around!
So, there you have it, my ode to an urban shoot. If parks/countryside walks or hikes up mountains aren’t your thing then don’t sweat it. We’ll just head into the city, hang out and then I’ll send you off on a lovely date night. Sounds good, doesn’t it?!
