“We absolutely LOVE the photos. Our day would not have been the same without you.”
– Louise & Ryan
Do you ever just meet a couple and can tell instantly that they are lobsters? These two are the real deal, you can just see it shining through them in every image. They were just so happy to be getting married, and we LOVE that!! These are the kinds of couples and weddings we live for. What a way to start off our 2019 wedding season
Having a Sherbrooke Castle Hotel wedding was even more meaningful to Louise as it’s where her parents had been married as well, too cute!
Preparations
The gals got ready at Louise’s childhood home, which always adds a sentimental touch to the day – and the images. Everything was very chill and even the keys to the wedding car getting locked inside it didn’t phase Louise, she was cool as a cucumber and just laughed it off. The wedding shall go on, so no point in being stressed out about it – though I can’t say the same for the poor car driver who felt so guilty, bless him, accidents happen though! Luckily the church was only around the corner so the second car could come right back for Louise and her Brother. Crisis averted! Sidenote: Also why it’s a good reason to get ready close to where your ceremony will be – just in case!!
I can’t say the lads were all that cool though, reports were Ryan had the wedding nerves pretty bad but you can’t tell from the photos, we got you 😉 Joy Story – making sure everyone looks cool since 2012.
The Ceremony
They had a lovely ceremony performed by Father Boyle at their local parish, Our Lady & St George Chapel in Crookston. Such a cool 80s building and lovely and bright inside, yay! (other churches, take note haha!) Then it was onto the Sherbrooke. By this time the wedding car was back in commission too, whoop! Everything comes together when you don’t sweat the small stuff.
The Reception
The Sherbrooke had been gorgeously decorated, mainly by Louise!! She had handmade most of the table decor, stationery, and favours herself (with some help from friends and family I’m sure) and it all looked fantastic, she was so proud – as well she should be! The beautiful flowers by First Blush really finished the room off.
Then Louise’s sister surprised her by having her traditional Scottish music band set up at the drinks reception to play some tunes, so sweet!
The speeches were absolutely hilarious (see Louise’s brother’s bald cap below) and had everyone in literal tears. Oh, the stories I could tell yah! You can tell that both families adore each other and have really welcomed each other in, which is so lovely to get to witness.
And to top it all off, we got an AMAZING sunset (see above & below!) Waaah! I was so giddy that at just the right time we got to take our lovely couple out to bask in it. WHAT. A. DAY.
An amazing day of joy and laughter and we loved being a part of it.
Ryan & Louise also left us the lovely feedback above upon receiving their gallery of images!
Enjoy the photos!
